Cooley Sternal Retractors are ideally used during cardiothoracic procedures to help create and maintain a sufficient opening in the sternum to allow comfortable access to the surgical field. This instrument comes equipped with aluminum arms and blades as well as a stainless steel ratchet bar. This sternal retractor comes in a variety of different sizes to accommodate neonatal, newborn, infant and pediatric cases.
