Murphy Retractor is a handheld 7 3/4″ instrument with different sized prongs and the option of sharp or blunt tips depending on the type of tissue being retracted. During general operations when a surgeon needs to be exposed to a certain area in the body, the retractor can be used to hold back the wound. The finger grips at the end of the handle provide better maneuvaribility.
