DeBakey Acutely Curved Clamp is created for use in cardiothoracic surgical procedures. This clamp is extremely versatile and can be used in a number of different surgical procedures that require a vascular clamp for tasks such as stopping blood flow through a vessel to prevent the patient from losing excessive amounts of blood. The long, slim design of this instrument and the gentle curvature of the jaws makes it suitable for clamping even deeper vessels because it can navigate through without causing damage to surrounding tissues. Additionally, this instrument is available in either a small or large jaw making it highly versatile and able to accommodate a number of different surgical scenarios.
