Cooley Baumgarten Aortic Clamp is designed for use in cardiothoracic surgical procedures. The ring handles make this instrument easy to manipulate and comfortable to grasp. Additionally, this clamp features a slightly curved jaw and shaft which allows this tool to be contoured to the area where it is being used without causing damage. This instrument is most useful in clamping of the aorta to reduce or totally block blood flow in the aorta to section off a particular portion during surgery.
