Cooley Coractation Clamp is well suited for use in cardiothoracic surgical procedures that necessitate total or partial occlusion of a vessel. This is often done in cardiothoracic surgical procedures to prevent the patients from losing an excessive amount of blood during surgery. This pattern features longer jaws and a longer overall length for cases where additional reach is necessary, as well as straight jaws and shanks which are designed to provide a firm and stable grip once they have been affixed to the site where the clamping is needed.
