Universal Ring Retractor Harrington Blade is offered in a variety of sizes and is termed a “sweetheart” because the blade resembles the shape of the top of a heart. This blade is commonly attached onto a ring retractor system to provide stabilization while holding incisions open as the surgeon operates on the abdominal cavity. Also, there is a curved neck that leads up to the flat and smooth surface of the blade, which reduces trauma to the area being held back.
